The Snow Child comes back to me
Dear indoor reader,
It’s miserable here in Alaska — rainy, drippy, icy. But inside my home, it is still snowy and Faina is still with me.
Thanks to talented artists, both friends and strangers, I have these beautiful images — two watercolor paintings and two embroideries — inspired by The Snow Child.
It is difficult to know how to thank someone who has blessed you with so much of her time and talent, who has given something of her own creative heart to you, but this is the best way I know how.
Thank you Donna, Annie, Maureen and Yuliya. I will treasure your art always.
Lovely. Your book was wonderful– enjoyed by so many after I’d read it…. my daughter, many friends. I’ve always loved the Russian fairy tale. In fact, while studying in the USSR, in “Leningrad” in 1973, my Russian friends called me “Snegurochka”. Thanks for a beautiful love story. We look forward to your next.

What beautiful artwork! Inspired of course by a beautiful story.
Wishing it was cold and dreary here in Florida. We’re having record high temps.
Nice! You are blessed.
I love to see what others saw while reading this book. These are beautiful.
You are more than welcome Eowyn. It was a pleasure, and thank you for the inspiration. <3
I am not sure why my name changed to seabhag2 but computers are still magic boxes to me!
Wow they are all beautiful and perfectly capture the magic of the snow child
Those are really pretty. Thanks for sharing them with us. 🙂
Thanks for sharing Eowyn. Very nice!
Those are beautiful! How you feel about those gifts are how we feel about your gift to us-a beautifully written story! Thank you.
The Snow Child is EXCELLENT – I was totally captured – didn’t want to put it down, but read slowly and savored every single moment! One of my all time favorites!
