Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night

Dear giving reader,

I was thinking we could have a gift exchange — I could send you each some snow. We have more than enough to spare, more than three feet, and it’s still snowing.

In return, won’t you send me some sunshine? Sunrise is currently 10:15 am., sunset 3:45 p.m. And here at our house, we have lost direct sunlight because the sun does not rise far enough into the sky to clear the mountains. For at least another week, we will not see the sun at all. But winter solstice has come and gone, so bit by bit we will get our daylight back.

I hope you and your family have a very merry season.

May all our wishes come true,

Eowyn

P.S. I’ll write to you again after the New  Year.

Snowy and dark at our house this morning.

  • Merry Christmas to you and your family from Kodiak, Alaska. And Happy Writing in the New Year!

Hey, we had two more seconds yesterday, couldn’t you tell? And a month from Christmas it will be time to start the asters! You don’t even have to exchange anything for snow at the Baer den. Show up for our annual Christmas Eve party, take home a truckload of snow for free. Happy holidays to all!

Merry Christmas to you and your family, Eowyn. Best wishes for the coming New Year. And I’ve got some snow I’d like to donate!

  • Christy says:

Merry Christmas! I’d gladly send you the sunshine, heat, and humidity from Florida. We’re roasting down here. Snow would make it feel more like Christmas.

  • Alma says:

Unlike Christy I’m really enjoying the heat and sunshine even a little humidity here in Florida. Nope don’t want any of your snow. Had all I ever needed when I lived in Orchard Park N. Y. Hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Alma

Merry, merry Christmas to all of you. We don’t have a bit of snow in Buffalo. You would not believe how green the grass. We’d love to be with you but, oh dear, that’s a lot of snow in your picture!
